Following service as a tail-gunner on a B-24 bomber in World War II, he was an announcer with WMBI (Moody Bible Institute) in Chicago.</span><br /><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: small; font-style: italic;"></span><span style="font-size: small;"></span> <br /><div style="font-family: Georgia;"><span style="font-size: small;">In 1951, he sailed to the Philippines as a missionary and was involved with FEBC (Far East Broadcasting Company) stations in Manila. Through the years hundreds of <a href="http://www.plymouthbrethren.org/article/5453" style="color: #0039d0;">programs</a> have been produced. In addition to Moments of Melody, there is Moment to Remember, The Emmaus Bible Hour, What the Bible Teaches, the "Living" series, and others.</span></div><div style="font-family: Georgia;"><br /></div><div style="font-family: Georgia;"><span style="font-size: small;">Ken went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2009. He and Mary Lou (1930-2003) were married nearly 50 years, served in the Philippines (1951-1975) and Kansas (1975-2003) in radio, music and pioneering churches, have six children, Becky, Karen, Kevin, Stan, Gordon, Doug and quite a few grandchildren.
